Signage for Penthaz archive, Cinémathèque suisse
Jannuzzi Smith has completed the first stage of signage for Cinémathèque suisse’s extensive new national film archive facility in Penthaz, Switzerland. The archive, recognised as the sixth most important in the world by the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), consists of 70,000 films comprising 640,000 reels, 2.8 million photos, 300,000 posters and 750,000 other items relating to the film industy. These will be housed and restored under optimum temperature and humidity conditions within the 53,500 m3 facility, which has a CHF 60 million development budget.
