Nick Walker, Programme Director at BAE Systems, brought us in to redevelop their corporate intranet, which is in use by tens of thousands of users worldwide. We designed the new interface, assisted the development of a content architecture, devised a name for the new service, created its identity (to work in partnership with the existing BAE Systems corporate identity), and were responsible for communicating the project and its progress to users, stakeholders and the board of directors.

Our work on the interface had to integrate seamlessly with existing processes and systems, and enable content implementation to be managed more efficiently, which involved close collaboration with BAE’s IT teams. The project – which took around nine months from initial consultation to the launch of the new system – exceeded expectations, gaining widespread support from users and stakeholders, leading to a marked increase in intranet usage.
