Locarno Festival
A film is made up of countless images flickering in front of our eyes. Individually they go unnoticed: they merge as the film rolls. We have always wanted to work with this remarkable body of visual material – to extract images and turn them into striking graphics. The Festival’s 70th birthday has presented us with the opportunity we were looking for: a selection from images to be shown on screens at the festival has been transformed into posters and covers. Together they tell the story of the 70th Locarno Festival.
