Luma Arles online

Jannuzzi Smith conceived and designed a user interface for Luma Arles’ online presence.

Luma Arles is a cultural complex located in Arles, a city in the Provence region of France. It is an interdisciplinary arts center that encompasses various cultural activities, including contemporary art exhibitions, research facilities and artist residencies. Luma Arles aims to support and promote artistic creation and experimentation across different disciplines, such as visual arts, photography, design, and multimedia.

The project was initiated by Swiss collector Maja Hoffmann, who founded the Luma Foundation. The complex was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, Annabelle Selldorf and Bas Smet. It was officially opened to the public in 2020. Luma Arles occupies a former industrial site known as the Parc des Ateliers, which spans over 20,000 square meters.
